Curious about emerging craft artists and their work? Join the SA+C for a full-day trip to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Joining us will be Professor Tracy Steepy, RISD Jewelry and Department Head and SA+C Board Member. The day begins with a private tour of the RISD Museum with Emily Banas, Associate Curator of Decorative Arts & Design. Enjoy lunch and a studio visit with 2024 Fellow-in-Residence, Taisha Carrington. The tour continues at the Dunkin Center for the annual Graduate Thesis Show, where RISD students from the Metalsmithing + Jewelry Department will be on hand to answer questions. Our day concludes at the World’s Fair Gallery to view a body of work made for a production class by RISD’s seniors and graduate students. Travel via roundtrip bus transportation from Boston to Providence, and at various stops during our tour in town.
