Queen Allotey-Pappoe to Jury CraftBoston: Pins + Needles

The Society of Arts + Crafts is pleased to welcome Queen Allotey-Pappoe as a juror for CraftBoston: Pins + Needles. Allotey-Pappoe is an award-winning fiber artist and the founder of sustainable fashion brand Queen Adeline. She studied Fashion Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and is a current Society board member.

Allotey-Pappoe was raised in Ghana before moving to England to pursue her education and finally, Boston, MA. In her business she uses 100% cotton African print textiles and other biodegradable fibers sourced from Ghana, designed to minimize waste help reduce her customers’ carbon footprint. Queen’s work pays homage to her African roots and is also a nod to her life of travels.
