Lynn Batchelder is a contemporary jeweler working and teaching in the Hudson Valley, NY. Her work centers on drawing and mark-making as she seamlessly creates jewelry and works on paper. She received an MFA in Metal from State University of New York at New Paltz and a BFA from Western Michigan University.
She is the recipient of the Art Jewelry Forum Artist Award, a Peter S. Reed Foundation Grant, and was a Society of North American Goldsmiths Emerging Artist. Her work was recently selected for the prestigious Schmuck 2024 exhibition in Munich, Germany.
She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally, participating in exhibitions in Germany, South Korea, Sweden, Australia, and the Netherlands. She is represented by Gallery Loupe (NJ) where she recently mounted a solo exhibition Remains, and has presented previous solo exhibitions at Heidi Lowe Gallery (DE) and the former Gallery at Reinstein|Ross (NY).
She has completed residencies at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Women's Studio Workshop, and the Estonian Academy of Art. She is currently Associate Professor in the Metal Program at SUNY New Paltz.
