What an exciting CraftBoston on the Move event! We started the day with a captivating tour of the “On this Ground” exhibition led by Curator Sarah Chasse, with added insights from Curator, Paula Bradstreet Richter. Following this enlightening experience, we indulged in a lovely lunch in one of the bespoke event rooms, in the company of and conversation with several assistant curators. Our exploration continued with a guided tour of the Fashion and Design Gallery under the expert guidance of Chief Curator Petra Slinkard. Later, we slipped into the collection storage area for an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse of glasswork preparations for an upcoming gallery and insights into other pieces and processes typically concealed from the public eye. What a unique opportunity to get together with old and new SAC friends! A special thank you to PEM and the curators who were all warm, engaging, and informative!
