Laura Wood welcomes us into her studio in Asheville, NC to explore her vibrant, colorful pieces! Tune in to learn more about powder coat, enamel, and Laura’s jewelry-making process.
Laura’s creative practice began in dance and shifted to contemporary jewelry in college, at University of Georgia, where she was introduced to jewelry and metalsmithing. A performative arts background continues to influence her work. Sculptural forms are thoughtfully engineered for the body and are intended to contribute to a daily experience.
Laura’s demo will be viewable on this page at 10am ET on May 20th and on our YouTube channel. Don’t forget to RSVP below!
We couldn’t do it without you.
The Society of Arts + Crafts produces CraftBoston™ to showcase inspirational craft and its creators. Your donation helps fund the work we do behind the scenes to bring their work to a larger public, and to help us make this event engaging and educational. We couldn’t do it without your support, and it means the world to us.
