The latest SAC CraftBoston on the Move event was a fantastic tour of the Beyond Brilliance exhibition with Curator, Emily Stoehrer at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The images here offer just a glimpse of this exquisite collection. We learned so much from this special tour, including stories from many of the pieces collected and curated for this new gallery.

“The new newly renovated gallery celebrates the universality of body adornment throughout the ages and across cultures, presenting highlights from the MFA’s renowned jewelry collection. From ancient artifacts to fine jewelry to designs made by contemporary artists, the presentation connects objects that span 4,000 years by exploring how jewelry can communicate strong messages about its wearer and exemplify the art and culture of its time.”
