The process begins on an etching press. This necklace is made of tiny collagraphs - a textured relief printing process. I print the paper myself on ‘washable paper’ - a German-made product of cellulose and synthetic latex. I then assemble the necklace with oxidized sterling silver and glass beads. It has a hand-fabricated sterling silver clasp. The beaded chain is 18 inches long at will sit at the wearer’s collarbone. While I would not recommend washing it, the necklace is quite sturdy!
