Possibili-tea features a mythical creature draped along the teapot handle. The needle-felted leopard has a paper clay female face and tulle butterfly wings, enhanced with free-motion thread painting on a sewing machine. This multiple-fired and glazed stoneware teapot has an elongated, extruded handle. Original ceramic decals of matching leopard and butterfly patterning are permanently glazed onto the teapot surfaces.

About the artist

Meryl Ruth has gained international recognition for achievement of high-quality, intricate and imaginative ceramic and fiber art.
