I love making this necklace! It's a gestural asymmetric sterling silver loop paired with a black neoprene loop made from the distorted shadow of the silver loop. This piece can only be made around 3:00pm, when the light is coming into my studio at the right angle to create a wider, elongated shadow. The silver element has a unique patina that creates different marks and areas of light and dark finish on the piece. Due to the methods I use to make this one of a kind necklace, each piece is unique and will vary slightly from the one in the photograph. The silver and rubber elements are approximately 5” long on a 29” chain.
