Unusual dangle earrings combining geometry and organic chaos. These beauties are laminated with one of my hand painted habutai silk fabrics, which I photographed, manipulated, and printed back onto silk.

About the artist

Melanie has a BS in Natural Sciences from SUNY Purchase (known mostly for their art schools), and co-founded the Sonoma Ecology Center. She spent over 20 years as an architectural photographer, and another 20 years as a polymer artist (using mostly the millefiori technique). Melanie’s work has been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, CraftBoston, and is included in the permanent collection of the Racine Art Museum.
