Chrysalis, A Ceramic Teapot

By Meryl Ruth

Out of stock

This is a tiny delicate wheel-thrown teapot made from a white porcelain clay. The teapot handle is extruded. I fired the teapot to cone 5 in an electric kiln. I created original ceramic decals of monarch butterflies in various shapes and sizes then re-fired the teapot to cone 015. I enhanced this piece further with airbrushed China paints before re-firing to cone 018.

Ceramic (Porcelain clay, original ceramic decals, glazes)

5.25 x 4 x 8.25 inches
