About the artist

Anne M. Fiala is a maker and educator living in Charlotte, North Carolina. She received a BFA in Industrial Design and a BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Indiana University Bloomington. In her work, Anne relies on instinct, process, and materials to create objects about memory and emotion. She is currently the Assistant Professor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design and Computer-aided Craft and Manufacturing at Winthrop University.
