Venn Necklace

The Venn Necklace is about my fascination with geometry and color. Each paper tile comprising the necklace is a different geometric shape. I then playfully explore the relationship between small geometric shapes that cover the surface of each of these paper tiles: the tension in angles, the softening in curves, and the dynamic relationship of these shapes with color. I make the surface designs by cutting papers into tiny geometric shapes that I “paint” on with brush and glue. Glass bugle and seed beads connect each tile. The tiles are finished with a clear sealant for wear.
