I spent many years designing newspapers, books, and magazines that were read the old fashioned way - on paper. Now they seem like artifacts. I do all my reading on a screen. I’ve made this tiny book pendant, strung on a chain - artifact as jewelry. It hangs from a 36 inch oxidized sterling silver chain.

About the artist

For many years Alice worked in the news and publishing industries as a designer, art director and illustrator. A chance visit to a museum exhibition of a well know jewelry artist ignited the desire to learn jewelry herself. She took classes at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC. Upon leaving the corporate design world, she became a full time artist with a practice in jewelry, printmaking and design.
