Tea for Tutu, A Fiber Teapot

This fun, all-fiber teapot was created using a thermoformable fabric that hardens when heated. The teapot is woven from strips of this fabric using the tumbling block pattern. It was hand-stitched using an original pattern for the teapot. Ostrich feathers and gems were glued in place.

About the artist

Meryl Ruth has gained international recognition for achievement of high-quality, intricate and imaginative ceramic and fiber art.
