The process begins on an etching press. This 42 inch long necklace is made of tiny collagraphs - a textured relief printing process. I print the paper myself on ‘washable paper’ - a German-made product of cellulose and synthetic latex. I assemble it with Japanese glass beads and it has a sterling silver magnetic clasp. While I would not recommend washing it, it's a sturdy piece!
