This Ashanti Keepsake Box is number six in a series of modern African-themed keepsake boxes. The box handle design was inspired by the Ashanti stools of Africa and is made of Gabon ebony. The curved lift-lid-top frame is made of walnut with a wenge center and turned walnut pedestal. The sides are zebrawood, walnut, wenge and maple with wenge splines. The box is finished with three coats of an oil-varnish mixture plus a topcoat of buffed paste wax.
