About the artist
Muffy Young has been a handweaver and dyer since 1978. Originally inspired by textiles and landscapes when traveling in Latin America at age 16, she continues to be influenced by the colors and design elements of Peruvian and Guatemalan cloth. She was a math major in college and this shows in her love of pattern, problem solving, and complexity.
