To our community:

The Society of Arts + Crafts is, unfortunately, no longer able to produce its CraftBoston Spring event this year, due to the municipal, state, and federal guidelines in place to stop the coronavirus. It is a difficult decision, but one made in the best interests of our artists, our customers, and our community, and in recognition of the uncertainty bound to continue for the next few months.

CraftBoston Spring 2020 was to be our first major event after announcing the closure of our gallery and retail location in Boston's Seaport, and the reconfiguration of our work to support and advocate for craft artists throughout New England and across the country. It's incredibly disappointing to be forced to cancel this showcase, which brings unique and talented artists together, offers you an inside look at exciting new craft, and allows a chance to purchase work to enjoy in your home or gift to others.

The Society of Arts + Crafts plans to soon post on its website the names and websites of artists accepted into the CraftBoston Spring 2020 show. It's not the same as being able to visit with the artists and makers in person, but I hope it encourages you to look at, support and purchase some of the fine work being done across the country.

For our part, it's hard to assess the impact that this cancellation, and the ongoing changes related to the coronavirus, will have on us and our industry. We will always continue our mission to support and advocate for the many craft artists who look to us as a resource for learning and as an opportunity to showcase their work.

Will you consider making a donation to ensure that our work continues without interruption? Whether it's the cost of two CraftBoston Spring tickets ($30) or whatever amount you can afford, we would appreciate your support. You can donate to us via this link. Thank you.

The Board of Directors of the SA+C and our staff joins me in wishing you continued health and well-being.
